Is your tallow grass-fed?
Yes, our tallow comes from grass-fed and grass-finished cows. Exactly the way it should be: pure, nutrient-rich, and top-quality.
Where does your tallow come from?
Our tallow comes from two organic butchers. One is in Limburg and the other in the north of the Netherlands. They work with local farmers. We use fat from grass-fed Black Angus and Hereford cows, a conscious choice for quality and traceability.
Do you use organic ingredients?
Whenever possible, we choose organic ingredients. It is better for you and better for the planet.
Do your products contain perfume or synthetic fragrances?
No. We offer an unscented version for most products, without added fragrances. For scented products, we only use pure essential oils.
Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
Absolutely. That is exactly who we make them for. Our formulas are simple, nourishing, and gentle. For people who are extra sensitive, we offer unscented versions without irritating additions.
How long do your products last?
Our products have a shelf life of 6 to 12 months after opening, depending on the specific product. Unopened, you can store the products for 30 months.
Should I store the cream in the fridge?
No, please do not. Tallow is a firm fat, similar to butter. Keep your product at room temperature, out of direct sunlight and out of the fridge, so it stays smooth and easy to spread.
Are the products suitable for children or during pregnancy?
Yes. All our products are safe to use during pregnancy and suitable for little ones too.
Can I use the tallow products on my face?
Absolutely. Many customers use our products as a day cream, night care, or even as lip balm.
Are your containers recyclable or reusable?
Absolutely. We mainly use glass jars and metal tins, which are reusable and recyclable.
Do you package plastic-free?
We try to avoid plastic as much as possible and continuously improve our packaging. Sustainability is an ongoing process and we keep looking for better alternatives.
How quickly do you ship?
If you order on a weekday before 19:00 CET in the Netherlands, your order ships the same day with DHL. Orders from the rest of the world placed before 18:00 CET ship the same day with DHL or PostNL, depending on stock availability and unforeseen circumstances.
Can I return my order?
Yes. Returns are accepted as long as the item is unopened and in its original packaging. Return costs are your responsibility and are not reimbursed by Dutch Heritage Cosmetics. Visit our Refunds & Returns page for more information.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Wherever you live, we are happy to bring a little Dutch Heritage to you.
