Dutch Heritage Cosmetics began with a simple question: what if skincare could be simpler? What started in one Dutch kitchen has grown into an independent skincare brand built around thoughtful ingredients, traditional craftsmanship and a deep appreciation for nature.
From kitchen to studio
In 2021, I started making skincare in my own kitchen. I was looking for products made with ingredients I understood, trusted and genuinely wanted to use on my own skin.
What began as a personal project quickly became something much bigger. By 2023, we had moved into our first studio, and within six months we had outgrown it. Today, Dutch Heritage Cosmetics operates from a dedicated 180 m² workspace in the Netherlands, where our products are developed and made with the same hands-on approach that started it all.
We may have grown, but we never wanted to become a faceless skincare company.
An ingredient with heritage
At the heart of Dutch Heritage Cosmetics is an ingredient that has been part of traditional skincare for generations: tallow.
Our tallow comes from grass-fed and grass-finished cattle and gives our formulations a rich, naturally nourishing base. We combine it with carefully selected ingredients, keeping our formulas intentional, uncomplicated and focused on what truly belongs in them.
Rather than overlooking traditional ingredients, we choose to understand them, work with them and give them a thoughtful place in modern skincare.
Less unnecessary. More of what matters.
We care about where our ingredients come from. Where possible, we choose organic ingredients and work with trusted suppliers and farmers who share our appreciation for quality, responsible sourcing and traditional craftsmanship.
Using tallow also gives a valuable agricultural by-product a second life. For us, responsible skincare is not about following every trend. It is about making thoughtful choices, knowing where things come from and creating products that are made with intention.
Meet Bianca
Hi, I’m Bianca.
Dutch Heritage Cosmetics is my creation, and I am still involved in almost every part of it. I develop the formulas, design the labels, work on the website, create the photography and make sure the brand stays true to the idea that started it all.
Our orders are now packed and shipped with the help of a fulfilment partner, but the heart of DHC remains personal. There is a real person behind the products, and I care deeply about what goes into every jar.
